How does my client verify their Identity on Digidentity?

By enabling the verify identity feature for clients, they will encounter the get verified section when they log into their client portal and navigate through the Fact Find. If the verify identity feature is turned on, they will see a screen with a link and QR code to download the Homebuyer app to their phone.

To proceed, the client should scan the link, download the app to their phone, and use the same email and password they used for the client portal to sign in.

If the client already has the HomeBuyer app installed, they will already see this on their to-do list within the app.

Within the app, the client will be prompted to purchase the service for £9.99 and will be guided through the steps to upload their ID, which will be verified using Digidentity.

Once the ID verification process is completed, a document containing the information will be saved to the client's document store.

Downloading the app also provides the client with additional benefits, such as the ability to track the status of their mortgage and view a live property valuation once the mortgage is completed.
