How to create a standalone home insurance case

To create a standalone home insurance case, you can follow these steps:

We do not currently have the functionality to create standalone home insurance cases. However, we have a workaround that you can use until we implement the process for Building & Content Insurance only. Here are the steps:

1. Create a mortgage case for the client.

2. Go to FactFind > Existing Properties and input the property details.

3. Go to Home Insurance > Add New Insurance, and then you will be able to select the property.

4. Go back to Mortgages and delete the mortgage lead.

This workaround allows you to associate a home insurance policy with a mortgage case, even though standalone home insurance cases are not currently supported. Once the process for standalone home insurance cases is implemented, you will be able to create them directly without the need for a workaround.
